I called Gils after I questioned the quote I was given by the dealer service center. Not only was Gils a better more fair price but they also determined that some of the work I was told had to be done was not necessary. Great service. Honest pricing.

I've been going to Gill's for over 15 years. It is the only shop I've been to that doesn't act like a girl doesn't know what she's talking about when it comes to her car. They treat their customers with kindness and respect.

This is my mechanic. Honest, fair pricing and will not charge me for something that I do not need. I have used gills since 2008 and will continue to use them for my repair needs. On occasion, i will take the car to the dealership for an oil change, where I will receive a laundry list of repairs that exceed the FMV of my car. However, the guys at Gills will normally tell me truthfully if the items are truly require repair.

My battery died in the parking lot of Giant after I had just bought my yogurt for the week. Adam came out, tested the battery, jumped the car, led me back to the garage where he and his team immediately replaced the battery and kept my yogurt in the refrigerator as I waited. Got me up and running and back on my way to work in less than an hour. They are SUPER!!!! As others have noted everyone here is honest, friendly, and super helpful! I can't recommend highly enough!

The best mechanics I've ever worked with. I squeeze every mile I can out of my cars, and Barry and company (especially Dave) helped me get 175,038 miles out of my Taurus, and they even warned me when the transmission was about to die. It actually died three days later, en route to me picking up my next car, which may be in one of those photos and is now going strong at 112,000 miles. These guys are very fair in their rates (I absolutely do not understand why people take their cars to dealers for maintenance) and their estimates are precise to within a few dollars of the final cost. They're not open on the weekends, but they have an after-hours drop, and if you need a rental, there is a rental car company just about two blocks away. Gill's is also near Dulles Crossing, so there are a lot of shopping and restaurant options in the area while one's car is being worked on. They also do state safety and emissions inspections, and I recommend that you get your oil changed at the same time, which beats sitting in line at a gas station to get only the inspections done. I've been going to Gill's for 10 years, and am really happy to have a "neighborhood mechanic". Highly recommended.

I have brought multiple cars to Gill's over the past several years and based upon my experience, won't go anywhere else. While I've had the unpleasant news from them (which I expected), they have also saved me tons when I DID expect to pay through the nose.
